REM Iowa is seeking a Nurse (LPN or RN) to provide nursing services, training and support to address the medical psychiatric needs of 8 individuals with developmental disabilities, emotional and/or behavioral challenges in our Coralville Intermediate Care Facility for the Intellectually Disabled (ICF/ID).
The typical schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 2 PM.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain functional relationships with individuals receiving services, staff and others involved including professionals in the community not limited to doctors, specialists, pharmacists, etc.
Ensure that current and complete medical records and reports are in accordance with regulatory and corporate standards, including medication administration records and physician’s orders.
Schedule, coordinate and attend individual appointments
Ad! minister medication to individuals
Complete paperwork including, not limited to, Quarterly Nursing Assessments, Nursing Care Plans,etc.
Participate in DAO process
Complete direct care duties/functions including but not limited to IPP implementation, active habilitation, etc.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) or Licensed Practacal Nurse (LPN) program
One year of related experience
Genuine desire to help others
Experience working with medically complex individuals
Current RN license or LPN license
Knowledge of ICF rules and regulations a plus
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Successful background clearance
