More details about this job opportunity kindly read the description below. Hy-Vees new Pharmacy Fulfillment Center has multiple openings for Part-time and Full-time Pharmacy Technicians. For Full-time this is a 40 hour work week, benefited, hourly position. For the Par! t-time positions, hours are negotiable. The new facility will have operational hours of 8:00 a.m. â€" 11:00 p.m. Initially, the majority of hours will be worked Sunday â€" Thursday. Schedule will vary as the operation evolves.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
Assist pharmacists in the accurate preparation and distribution of prescription medications.
Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with co-workers as a team to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and
facility policies.
Handles inquiries that do not require a pharmacists expertise and judgment.
Assists in developing standard operating procedures.
Prepares and affixes labels to prescription containers.
Assists in training employees.
Assists in adherence to quality assurance standards.
Gain complete understanding of Hy-Vees retail pharmacy operations and, offer! ing avenues to better
serve them.
Prepares prescr! iptions to be mailed or delivered.
Reports any medication errors to appropriate personnel.
Orders, checks-in, and stocks pharmacy supplies.
Logs invoices as necessary.
Maintains cleanliness of pharmacy and dispensing area.
Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
Adheres to all statutes and regulations pertaining to a pharmacy technician.
EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM JOB:
High volume solutions robotics, operating software, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent. Certified as a licensed technician through a certified national program and maintains continuing education requirements to keep license active.
