VA Central Iowa Healthcare is currently recruiting for Three (3) Full-time Human Resources Assistant Details Not to Exceed 60 days . Two of these positions are to support the Recruitment and Placement Section and one is to support the Credentialing Section of the Human Resources Management Service.

As a Human Resources! (Recruitment & Placement) Assistant, you are responsible for ! the following duties to include, but not limited to the following tasks related to recruitment, and placement:

  • Ensure all required materials are submitted when recruitment requests are submitted
  • Assists the Human Resources Specialist in preparing vacancy announcements
  • Initiates and facilitates the pre-employment/on-boarding process from date of interest call to date of new hire orientation
  • Tracks, monitors, and maintains status of selectee throughout the pre-employment/on-boarding process and conducts follows up as appropriate
  • Tracks, monitors and maintains vacancies status from recruitment request to position filled
  • Monitors and tracks automated suspense notices to ensure timely follow-up actions are taken in a timely manner
  • Provide consistent, correct and timely answers to routine questions regarding process and procedures to applicants, employees and selecting officials, verbally or in writing
  • Creates and maintains pre-employment communications with selectees, selecting officials and other vested parties
As a Human Resources (Credentialing) Assistant, you are responsible for the following duties to include, but not limited to the following tasks related to Credentialing:

  • He/she has responsibility for the day to day operations of the HR Credentialing Program for approximately 760 dependent providers( RN, LPN, Social Worker, Pharmacist-Title 38 Hybrid positions)
  • Verifies licensure, education, certification, references, certifications and employment for all dependent providers on staff or on contract in dependent positions
  • Continuous assessment, evaluation and monitoring of the credentialing program to ensure conformity to local polies, VACO and Joint Commission regulations/standards to ensure hospital accreditation
  • Verifies licensure, education, certification, references, certifications and employment for a! ll dependent providers on staff using primary sources
  • Maintain! s, monitors and ensures all licensure, certification and registrations are current using a tracking data base
Work Schedule: The tour of duty is administrative Monday - Friday and hours will be determined at the time of selection.
