Reporting to the Manager, Digital Architecture, Engagement and Projects, this role leads the (IT) Architecture Services team and co-ordinates multi-disciplinary teams across Digital and Campus Services to deliver Architectural services.

The role is accountable for the establishment and application of common processes for the assessment and estimation of all technology-based investments as well as the establishment and application of common solution architecture processes to ensure services are designed and implemented in a resilient and best-practice manner.

The role will build relationships and provide consultancy services to senior stakeholders in order to ensure technology investments are aligned with University strategies, objectives, standards, and broader University and architectural considerations.

The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to lead architecture activities and make recommendations on broad, complex architectural decisions. Key to this is the ability to work closely with business areas, understanding business strategy and communicating in business terms.

The role is required to deliver a wide range of Architecture services.

Key responsibilities include:
Leading a team of Architects in the delivery of Solution and Enterprise Architecture services.

Providing consultancy and Enterprise Architecture services.

Establishing and maintaining key technology strategies that support the achievement of business outcomes.

Assisting business areas in the development of initiatives; including options assessments, market scans, delivery estimates and broader architectural reviews.

Key Criteria
The successful applicant will ideally have;

Experience in a similar role with 10+ years of increasing responsibility in relevant IT disciplines.

Experience establishing and/or managing an Architecture Services team.

Experience managing teams and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in a senior role.

Experience as a practicing Solution Architect with increasing scope and accountability

Experience with Enterprise Architecture concepts and practices.

Experience developing, maintaining, and executing, digital strategies and roadmaps.

Experience assessing complex technology requirements and recommending pragmatic solutions.

Experience working and building collaborative and effective relationships with C-Suite stakeholders.

Experience leading complex architecture activities and making recommendations on broad architecture decisions.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a national police clearance.
