Hammer PharmacyWeekday hours(Monday through Friday)8:30am to 5:00pm)ONLY CANDIDATES WITH RECENT PHARMACY TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCE AND SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF NATIONAL PHARMACY TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION WILL BE CONSIDERED. Assist the pharmacist in making sure that each customer has complete satisfaction with their experience at Hammer Pharmacy. Obtain information for new prescriptions presented in person and enter into computer system: insurance coverage, DOB, name, phone number, address. Answer telephone: obtain proper information for refills, answer questions/concerns, communicate with doctor's offices. Access, input, and retrieve information from the computer. Work with the patient's third party insurance to determine drug formulary coverage and plan limitations. Retrieve and file pharmacy prescriptions in the appropriate files. Assist customers with their questions, problems, or complaints in and out of the pharmacy department. Operate a Point-of-Sale cash register including: cash, checks, and charge transactions; obtaining insurance signatures, and referring questions to the pharmacist. Follow company policy and procedures including security issues and confidentiality. Daily checking in and putting away drug inventory. Maintain the pharmacy department: fill pharmacy supplies and keep work area clean and organized. Mandatory requirements: A Certified Pharmacy Technician Licence in good standing. A minimum of 2 years of recent pharmacy technician experience. Must have exceptional customer service skills both on the phone and in person. Computer and keyboard proficient. (Typing skills must be phenominal). Must be able to use critical thinking to solve complex problems. Must be able to work under pressure and perform quickly, accurately, and professionally. Preferred requirements: Previous experience with QS/1 pharmacy software. Familiarity with Medicare part B (Diabetic testing supplies, nebulizer solutions) and billing requirements. Previous experience in a DMEPOS accredited pharmacy.
