Description: The University of Iowa is in need of CLINICAL PHARMACIST right now, this vacancy will be assigned in Iowa. Percent Time: 100% Type of Position Regular: A position which is considered essential for the effective long-term operation of the university. Persons appointed to this position will receive the privileges and benefits associated with regular employment status. Duties: Clinical Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical services to inpatients and outpatients in large tertiary care medical center. Clinical positions include inpatient and clinic and a wide variety of roles. Pharmacists work variable hours to provide services 365 days per year. Salary listed is full-time salary and will be pro-rated based upon percentage of appointment. Education Required: Pharm. D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and one year of applicable experience is required. Experience Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Certifications: Current licensure or ability for licensure by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners is required. Desirable Qualifications: Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy practice is desirable. Additional training or certification (i.e., specialized residency and/or board certification in an area of practice) is desirable. Health system pharmacy experience is desirable.
