We are seeking a highly motivated, results oriented professional for the role of Long-term Care Neuroscience Area Manager to manage a Iowa territory.

This field-based sales professional is responsible for effectively applying promotional and selling strategies to expand our client's business opportunities and deliver revenue in an assigned area and contribute to the achievement of the Companys revenue goals. Provide complex and technical information to ensure awareness and appropriate use of the clients products to LTC prescribers, LTC geriatric psychiatrists, LTC pharmacists, and LTC nursing personnel. This position requires the performance of work that is substantially important to the operation of our business, and requires the individual to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in carrying out the job responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provide current and comprehensive product and disease state information of the Neurology/Psychiatric market to a broad audience of LTC professionals while effectively communicating the clinical profile of client's products. Provides high level clinical education and product promotion to LTC prescribers, LTC pharmacists, and LTC nursing personnel. Manages local key facility, pharmacy and Assisted living accounts. Responsible for exhibiting at regional and national LTC associations. Develop personal strategy for communicating with LTC professionals. Daily activities include: one-on-one sales presentations to targeted LTC professionals; arrangement of group selling programs; provide continuing education and value added services to a wide range of LTC professionals; and analyze sales and market trends to effectively identify business opportunities. Help develop and execute on area business plan to deliver revenue for the Company including, but not limited to, resources utilization, managing metrics, sales to target and call reach and frequency. Help plan and execute on company-sponsored speakers events by selecting the site, company-trained speaker and assisting with the event logistics. Manage and develop area budgets and resources for customer contacts, promotional programs and other miscellaneous external expenditures. Must be able to leverage resources to optimize area revenue including, but not limited to, brand support, digital assets, reimbursement tools, and management. Successfully complete all training programs and proactively updates scientific knowledge of the LTC Neurology/Psychiatric market. Initiate communication to update Sales Management on assigned area issues or business opportunities. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all members of the client's team including members of Managed Markets, Training, Sales Operations, Medical Affairs, and corporate staff. Maintain knowledge and understanding of payer mix, reimbursement environment, and distribution in assigned area. Attendance at conventions and meetings for various LTC organizations.

Requirements Bachelors degree is required. 2+ years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience Knowledge of Long Term Care (LTC) segment and prior experience promoting LTC products. Knowledge of relationships between LTC pharmacies, LTC nursing homes, and LTC pre-scribers. Proven and documented track record of sales success in an environment requiring high accountability and maintaining a high level of performance Experience working independently with direct responsibility for all business in an assigned territory/area/region Experience with a CNS/Psychiatry related product(s) and specialty customers in the LTC space is strongly preferred Previous product launch and/or first-in-class experience is preferred
