Pharmacist, Clinical Informatics, is an expert in the use of information technology, responsible for building, implementing, updating and! maintaining multiple pharmacy system databases, collaborating with and educating the medical, pharmacy and nursing staffs on issues regarding the pharmacy system and computerized physician order entry (CPOE)Management The Pharmacy Analyst, specializes in the medication process, from ordering to administration, understanding of all software and hardware, and is responsible for effective process design, development, and implementation of the Pharmacy solution in the HCIS(Health Care Information System).
Supports resolution of all general computer related issues within the pharmacy department. Provides resource expertise for planning additional medication related information technology projects. Works closely with Clinical Analysts, Pharmacy staff, Nursing and Medical Staff, Departmental Leadership, Quality, Patient Safety, Accreditation and Licensure Departments to clarify needs, prioritize requests, and design workflow to integrate into electronic systems.

Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from accredited College of Pharmacy
Residency in Pharmacy Informatics not required but preferred
Required Experience
Informatics experience preferred
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Cerner experience preferred
Omni Cell experience preferred
