The Manager of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services is responsible for ensuring the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care servic! es to all patients and customers in areas of responsibility.
This position provides leadership for department services through collaboration with employees, other departments/services and customers. The Manager of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services supervises:
Lead Pharmacists, Staff Pharmacists, Certified Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Courier, and Pharmacy billing office personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a B.S. or Pharm.D. in pharmacy required.
A graduate degree in management, business, or health care administration is desired.
Iowa Pharmacist licensure, either by examination or by reciprocity, is required.
Previous experience in an ambulatory pharmacy or complex health care organization (3 - 5 years).
Previous managerial or supervisory experience required.
Must demonstrate managerial and leadership abilities.
Significant skill and knowledge in IS application! s is needed.
Completes Mandatory Reporting requiremen! t within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
