Assures that the Drug-drug interactions, Drug-food interactions, Drug duplicate checking, and Drug-lab requireme! nts and interactions are met in the tailoring of drug files and their relationship to patient outcomes.
Assists Pharmacy in error resolution.
Reviews module enhancement specifications incorporating standardization guidelines into tailoring specifications and performs integration tests on delivered enhancements.
Assures compliance with federal, state, and local laws or regulations. Effectively prepares and complies with voluntary accreditation as accepted by the healthcare organizations we serve.
Understands global contract issues related to applications.
Provides input into preparation of project plans and monitors own task schedule.
Acts as project lead as assigned by managers.
Works collaboratively with other IT group members to ensure optimal application functionality
Qualifications
Minimum of five years experience in a related field or equivalent work experience
Licensed pharmactis! t in the State of Iowa
Demonstrates detail knowledge ! base and skill level in computer application methodology as it is used to automate health care business practices.
Understands Pharmacy operation in relation software tailoring and operation.
Demonstrates clinical knowledge drug utilization as related to patient safety issues.
Demonstrates knowledge of drug usage as related to cost effective formulary management.
Demonstrates competence in system utilities, module trouble-shooting procedures and internal tracking and resolution procedures
Understands computer system functionality, limitations, and architecture of supported applications
Education
Bachelor Degree. State of Iowa pharmacy license required.
