Description: Wagner Pharmacy Co is looking of Independent Retail & LTC Staff Pharmacist right now, this job will be ordered in Iowa. Staff pharmacists at Wagner Pharmacy Co are offered the opportunity to practice at four pharmacies to include 3 unique retail pharmacies, and one long term care pharmacy. Our newest location which opened in August of 2011 has a "Wellness Center" model to incorperate holistic medicine with traditional pharmacy practice. Our current locations offer many opportunities to impact patient lives, interact with other practitioners as one of our locations is located within a medical clinic with over 40 practitioners, and also to provide consultant pharmacy services to local nursing facilities. Daily duties of pharmacists include general pharmacy management, pharmacy staff management, patient counseling, order verification, and coordination of activities with other medical entities within the community. Periodically, additional duties specific to long term care are required, to include cycle fill order verification, DUR, and participation in local nursing facilty QA meetings. Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
Required: PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, registered to practice pharmacy in state of Iowa. Experience not necessary, we are hiring new grads. Preferred: certified to immunize, registered to practice pharmacy in state of Illinois.
