aintain and direct the Pharmacy Department to assure the provision of safe and cost effective drug therapy for facility p! atient/ residents. In addition to daily clinical responsibilities, you will supervise all pharmacy staff including making final recommendations regarding actions as hiring, termination, evaluation, discipline and assignment of employees.

Compensation:
$80,000 - $110,000

Responsibilities:
Maintains patient medication profiles. All necessary information is entered promptly and necessary.
Rotates emergency drug supplies so all floor stocks are in date, available at all times, and in adequate amounts.
Assists in ordering pharmaceutical supplies including use of purchase orders, knowledge of inventory levels, and use of the electronic order entry system.
Assists in preparation of drug charges.
Prepares medications and compounds pharmaceuticals per physician! order in accordance with accepted practice standards.
Res! ponds to “code blue” and other emergency situations as soon as possible.
Consults with patients, physicians, nurses, and other staff as needed about drug therapy.
Maintains hospital formulary so current copies are available to all professional staff.
Controls and maintains adequate records of drugs received and dispensed.
Participates in orientation and continuing education of professional staff.
Assesses patient drug therapy for effectiveness, adverse reactions, drug toxicity, and patient compliance with regimen, continuity of therapy, abuse/misuse, and therapeutic redundancy.
Conducts employee evaluations
Annually submits department budget
Maintains Performance Improvement program by initiating quality improvement.
