The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics has an opening for an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharm! acy Specialist in Family Medicine. This pharmacist position provides pharmaceutical care services to patients seen in the Family Care Clinic. The individual chosen will practice in a dynamic and professionally challenging environment in one of the nation’s best hospitals. The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is a 711 bed comprehensive, university, teaching hospital.
The Department of Pharmaceutical Care consists of approximately 130 pharmacists and 150 support staff and provides care to acute, ambulatory and home care patients. Ambulatory Care clinic and prescription services are provided from six outpatient pharmacies supported by clinical pharmacists in many of our clinics. The pharmacies are extensively automated. The Department offers a PGY1/PGY2 residency in Ambulatory Care.
