Pharmacy Front End Compliance Technician

Description: Omnicare Inc. is looking of Pharmacy Front End Compliance Technician right now, this occupation will be depute in Iowa. Maintains front-end of the pharmacy (triage, order entry, medical records, intake) in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as in accordance with Omnicare’s est! ablished policies and procedures to assure that a complete pharmaceutical program is maintained.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in orientation, training and education programs for all controlled substance technicians in accordance with policies, procedures, state and federal laws
·
Contacts physician on any narcotic prescriptions to receive a hard copy within the required time frame per state statures
·
Assist in keeping accurate of scheduled substances invoices
·
Assist in reviewing the narcotic Rx’s are back in timely manner
·
Run prescription logs, controlled dug logs, Rx cards; close out expired Rx’s; ensure completion of CII file
·
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
·
Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.

Minimu! m (Required) Qualifications:
(must be met in order to ! perform the job at the required level)

High School Diploma or equivalent required
·
Pharmacy Technician Certification required
·
Previous Pharmacy Technician experience required
·
Knowledge of filling procedures for all patient price codes
·
Knowledge of drug packaging procedures
·
Knowledge of dispensing database software
·
Fluent in all aspects of the English Language
·
Good oral communication skills
·
Ability to have strong communication with Dispensing Pharmacists
·
Ability to effectively communicate with employees, facility staff members, and others within organization
·
Ability to write routine correspondence and reports
·
Knowledge of basic math skills is required
·
Excellent skills in usage of fax machine, computer softwa! re, copier, and word-processing
Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.
