Job Description

The Assistant Director of Sales plays a vital role in driving revenue and occupancy for the hotel by assisting the Director of Sales in developing and implementing effective sales strategies. This role involves overseeing the sales team, nurturing client relationships, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the hotel's sales targets are met or exceeded.

Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing to develop comprehensive sales strategies, goals, and action plans to achieve revenue targets.

Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and stay competitive.

Supervise and guide the sales team, providing training, motivation, and performance evaluations.

Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork and achievement of sales goals.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and event planners.

Act as a point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and special requests.

Lead the sales team in actively prospecting and identifying potential clients and markets.

Develop and execute strategies to increase the hotel's market share and customer base.

Drive revenue growth by effectively promoting the hotel's services, packages, and offerings to potential clients.

Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs.

Work closely with other hotel departments, including marketing, operations, and event planning, to ensure seamless execution of events and exceptional guest experiences.

Maintain clear and open communication channels to share sales updates and collaborate on initiatives.

Generate sales reports and analyses to provide insights into performance, trends, and areas for improvement.

Use data to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales strategy.

Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to represent the hotel and build connections with potential clients.

Utilize sales management software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and other tools to track leads, opportunities, and progress.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sales within the hotel industry.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Exceptional negotiation and customer relationship management abilities.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.

Proficiency in using sales soft wares.

Knowledge of the local and regional market trends and dynamics.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for industry events and client visits.
