ROLE SUMMARY
The Meetings, External Engagements, & Travel (MEET) Excellence Director will assist in building and implementing processes, designing team structures, helping identify ways to optimize MEET’s support model with an emphasis on growth and simplification, and developing responses to the evolving needs of MEET customers. This role will require significant coordination with business stakeholders and will be responsible for supporting the creation of business cases that justify the need for change.
This Director must demonstrate accountability and integrity in the face of challenge and respond to change with agility, optimism, and innovation. He / she will cross-functionally collaborate across the organization to help identify opportunities for continuous improvement that will allow the MEET organization to better serve its customers.
This role will work closely with other MEET Excellence team members, MEET Regional Leads, other MEET Centers of Excellence and business leaders. The MEET Excellence Director will report directly to the Global MEET Excellence Lead.
  • Support Global MEET Excellence Lead in designing, developing and implementing strategies for proactive identification of emerging business needs.
  • Support Global MEET Excellence Lead in designing roadmaps to deliver focused expertise of critical business priorities outlined in Blueprint strategy.
  • Assess the emerging needs of the business and implement a support model under MEET to address these needs.
  • Support the redesign of Global Congress structure, including support for business needs and design a best-in-class model that exceeds the business needs and delivers a seamless user experience.
  • Perform integration activities related to M&A work.
  • Ensure alignment with North Star principles of “speed to value, business impact, promote our services, and create capacity.”
  • Analyze key trends and innovations identified by Partner Standards & Innovation Lead to incorporate new business initiatives on track to deliver results.
  • Recognized as a leader with the ability to present to executive leadership (e.g., Biopharma leaders) and manage relationships with stakeholders globally (incl. significant coordination with business stakeholders)
  • Work closely with MEET Regional Leads to identify new business needs that need to be modeled to enhance efficiencies or future blueprint objectives.
  • Work with Worldwide Research and Development (WRD) and regional Commercial leadership to design requirements and service offerings.
  • Liaise with key business leaders to understand emerging business trends requiring MEET; anticipate and influence direction of MEET response (i.e., supporting strategy design and creating business cases that show ROI)
  • Assist the MEET Excellence Lead in developing business case proposals for funding and roadmap approval of concepts and services to SE&S, GBS LT, CFO and MEET LT
  • Help identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including mergers and acquisition transformations and other global initiatives as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Typical Years of Experience: 10+ years (9+ years with MBA/MS) of experience in management and consultative services including identifying business solutions, designing organizational structures, building business cases and designing the operating model and implementation of the services
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Fluency in English is a must, additional languages preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of how Pfizer operates.
  • Ability to create and deliver MEET LT level presentations (written, verbal and financial estimation)
  • Management of multiple client stakeholders and multiple business areas (WRD, Commercial, Sales, GBS, BioPharma)
  • Deep understanding of Pfizer dynamics and business areas
  • Ability to analytically review and challenge statutory financial statements to ensure completeness, accuracy, adherence to accounting standards, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management.
  • Strong accounting, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to handle several projects at once.
  • High level of self-motivation, energy, and flexibility
  • Strong emphasis on ROI and delivering business services that help improve operational effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and related internal control documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
  • Good organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient written and verbal skills to enable effective communication with all levels of management.
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Position location is Tampa, USA. Travel would be for work related needs only. Weekend work could be necessary based on volumes.
Work location assignment: On premise
