Under limited direction, the Pharmacy Technician Instructor is responsible for fostering student learning in the areas of Pharmacy! as it applies to the role of the Pharmacy Technician. This position will involve primarily Monday through Friday hours, with a varying schedule between classroom and lab focused teaching. Must develop, implement and evaluate instruction, and report and record student achievement in assigned courses in accordance with department, division and college policies and procedures. Teaching responsibilities include lecture, laboratory and some fieldwork settings. Primary responsibilities will involve the High School Health Academy Pharmacy Technician program. Additionally, occasional outreach instructional support will be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively teach assigned courses
- Develop course material
- Prepare student learning activities
- Evaluate student performance
- Perform other related work duties as assigned.
- Be able and willing to represent th! e college in the most positive manner with prospective, former! and current students, clients, suppliers and the community we serve.
- Maintain program compliance according to accreditation standards.
- Knowledge of current Pharmacy protocols and requirements.
- Work with the collegeâs computer system- including ANGEL and Eaglenet.
- Knowledge about methods of instructions, testing and evaluation of students.
- Must be self-motivated, energetic and have good communication skills.

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and heari! ng.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Registered Pharmacist or Certified Pharmacy Technician
At least three yearsâ experience
Must be available to teach M-F from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Must be currently registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS :
Bachelorâs Degree or higher
Experience with Online education and ANGEL learning platform preferred.
SALARY :
In accordance with salary guidelines f! or adjunct faculty. Maximum teaching load is 15 semester credit hours p! er academic year (fall and spring). Pay is calculated per credit hour.
